The “All Roads Lead to the South” Rally in Montgomery, Alabama was more than a gathering it was a spiritually civic awakening. Standing on the sacred soil where my ancestors prayed, marched, suffered, and overcame reminded me that God still moves mountains through people willing to stand boldly for justice and truth. In 2026 Montgomery, Alabama remains holy ground in the continuing story of freedom and justice.

This intensely energetic rally of an estimated 5,0000 people carried the spirit of unity, and reconciliation. From behind the bullet proof shields, hundreds of police officers, and the sweltering heat, I could feel the echoes of Selma, the Civil Rights Movement, and the unwavering faith of those who believed love and righteousness would ultimately outlast even the most complex and sophisticated hatred(evil).

Those echoes reminded me that the fight for dignity, voting rights, equality, and humanity is not merely political it is spiritual warfare rooted in divine purpose.

While focused on visual storytelling through photojournalism, I reflected deeply on this historic moment. Experiencing live clarion calls from powerful Tennessee State Representatives like Justin Jones, US Representative Ayanna Pressley, as well as Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reminded me that God is calling this generation to honor the sacrifices of yesterday while courageously shaping tomorrow.

Justin Pearson: “You Can rig a Mop but you can’t rig a movement”

Ayanna Pressley: ”Freedom is never really won. Every Generation must earn and defend it for the next.”

United States Senator/Pastor Raphael Warnock, Senator Corey Booker and Pastor Jamal Bryant each encouraged everyone to stand proudly for all people to Stand for Going Forward!

opening quote
Freedom is never really won. Every generation must earn and defend it for the next.
The South represents pain, but it also embodies perseverance, revival, redemption, and hope.

“All Roads Lead to the South” was truly a call back to the heart of faith, community, and the power of people united under God. It represented no living off the grid, standing with one voice, one mission, and one hope.
